Mountain View Masters is a club member of United States Masters Swimming, Inc. We offer year-round coached swimming workouts and open lap-swimming for adults. All levels of swimmers aged 18 and older are welcome to join our club and swim with us. Note: We do not offer swim lessons, but coached workouts for adult swimmers.
Our team is made up of all levels of swimmers, from beginners to world record holders. We have people who compete in swim meets, triathletes, and people who swim just for the benefit of personal fitness.
What's New
Our team is supporting a community charity event which is a fundraiser for a suicide prevention program in Palo Alto. This is to address the five teen sucides we've had in the last year associated with Gunn high school. The event is March 9th 6pm at the Cubberely Center theater. In attendance at the event will be the executive director of a national suicide education agency, and a survivor of a suicide attempt off the Golden Gate Bridge and a speaker on the issue since 2001. Also, a Stanford theater/social activist group will perform. People still can donate at our MVM auction on Thursday March 11th since the speaker has agreed to take fees later, but if people wish to contribute, the sooner the better. They can write a check payable to SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) and give it to one of the coaches. The donation is tax deductable. Cash works too.
A donation adds points to your buying power at the auction too. Every 4 dollars donated earns you 1 February Fitness Challenge Point.
