COACH'S CORNER  - THE DOS AND DONTS OF HOW TO USE A PULL BUOY!

Some swimmers and coaches have banned pull buoys from their tool kit, arguing that they give you a false sense of balance, that they inhibit core rotation, and that they're more like a binky than a pool tool. But when used correctly and in moderation, pull buoys have many benefits.Check out this great video/article.

VALENTINE'S AFFAIR MEET AT USF

A couple of things about the USF Meet this year: first, no deck entries will be accepted.  You must preregister for this meet.  The nice thing is that you have until 11:59 pm on Friday 2/10/12 (the night before) to do that online.

Second, this meet is all about sprints this year--50s and 100s of everything. And, finally, this meet will feature combined heats--men and women will be swimming together, seeded by time.

Good for 10 points on your February Fitness card!

If folks have questions, ask Coach Chris.
